The Fulgham Genealogy

The Fulgham families migrated from Wake County, North Carolina.  The patriarch of this
family was Matthew Fulgham, who was born in 1771 in Northampton, North Carolina.  He
married a woman named Levina Smith, who was the daughter of William Smith.  They
married in 1811.  In the early 1840's the family migrated to Greene County.  They owned
several slaves as well.  One of their slaves, who was named Simeon Fulgham.  He was born
in North Carolina in 1824.

Interesting Facts:
There is a twin gene that runs throughout this family.  The matriarch of
this family, (Mary Dunn) is a fraternal twin.  Her brother's name was John Dunn.  It is
believed that Mary Dunn-Fulgham had a set of twins.  Her son, Quincy Fulgham, had twin
sons, Simeon and James.  Her other son, Charlie, married a woman named Pytie Bushalon,
who had a twin sister named Betsy Bushalon-Archibald.  Charles & Pytie's son, William had
twin daughters, Pearlie and Curlie.  Their other son, Simon, married a woman who had a
twin sister named Charity Jane Shambley-Noldon.
